Eco-Chic Beauty: Indie Lee
Updated: Sep 30, 2019
I have long been inspired by the Indie Lee brand. Named after its founder, this line had passionate origins:
"After conquering a life-threatening brain tumor that pointed to environmental toxins as the culprit, Indie Lee awoke on April 22, 2009 with a new lease on life and the passion to create a chic and eco-friendly namesake collection. Comprised of the finest ingredients from around the world, the line is designed to enhance the face and body with gratifying green glamour. Indulge in the luxurious feel and beautiful benefits of Indie Lee products while protecting the Earth– and your body. Unleash your inner and outer beauty with Indie Lee, an eco-chic collection of skincare products that combine style and sustainability without sacrifice.".
The Rosehip Cleanser is thick and gelatinous, and glides on the skin in a silky foam when water-activated. It smelled reminiscent of the French perfume my Grandmother used to wear--which brought back very pleasant memories. It left my skin very clean, and a little tighter than I like as I am used to oil cleansing.
The CoQ10 Toner is fresh and effective, closing the pores without the presence of alcohol, and adding vitamins back to the skin in a simple spritz. It's fresh floral scent is luxurious and airy--exactly what you would want in a toner!
The Squalene Facial Oil was what my skin responded to the most. "Derived from olives, this nourishing facial oil is packed with nutrients and promotes skin elasticity, diminishes age spots and hyper pigmentation, and boosts cell regeneration and oxygenation". I noticed an obvious difference in the texture and tone of my skin after using for only 3 days straight.
I am determined to try their Calendula Eye Balm, which is currently sold out--but I'm keeping an eye out!
