Flawless Minerals: Lily Lolo

When I'm traveling, I take my products with me. I pack almost everything I could think of--you never know what you might need, amIright?

I love the brands are beginning to step outside the typical sifter-can of loose minerals, and are pressing them into portable compacts and palettes. This makes previously "messy minerals" much more appealing to the masses.

Founder Vikki Khan fell in love with the lightweight color and coverage that could be achieved with mineral makeup. After a lengthy and disappointing search to find a brand that held their standards as high as she did, Vikki decided to create her own. Lily Lolo was born. They masterfully combine mineral based technology with natural, chemical-free ingredients to create a beautiful cult-status brand.

I love how they approach their style through clean beauty, and the promise they make their clients:

"Every product is free from harsh chemicals, dyes and fillers and even has antibacterial properties to help improve the skin. Our foundations, powders and bronzers give women the flawless, airbrushed complexion they so badly crave. Whilst our vibrant eye shadows have the ultimate staying power and make the most of all your god given assets...

Give yourself the gift of effortlessly gorgeous skin! Our promise to you is no nasties, no parabens, no synthetic dyes and definitely no nano-particles and of course – fabulous healthy products!"

I have been using Lily Lolo BB Cream , and am loving it. At first glance, I thought the Light color would be too dark for my skin, but it blends beautifully, allows my skin to glow naturally and lasts all day.

I recently acquired the Coralista Cheek Duo and the Laid Bare Eye Shadow Palette from The Choosy Chick. I love a good peachy color on just about everyone, and this one came with a built-in golden highlight color--even better!

The peachy coral tone can be used to contour, or as a blush, while the golden tone works great as a light-reflecting highlighter or daily skin brightener. I even added the golden color to my concealer yesterday, and loved the look!

The Laid Bare Eye Palette is a great collection of all-purpose neutrals. Falling in line with the Naked palette trend like those from mainstream brand and green beauty gals 100% Pure, this palette holds it own and does not disappoint! I have used several of these colors individually when wanting a "no makeup" look, and have easily transitioned from a classy day to sassy nighttime look.

Both palettes contain jojoba oil and natural antioxidants, giving them a silky smooth texture that applies with ease and wears well throughout the day. I found I could wear these on even my longest day--even without a primer, and still look fresh and beautiful.

I love when I find products that I can find use for personally, but these palettes make it easy to pack and use professionally as well. Have you tried anything from Lily Lolo? If so, what are your favorite products?

Be Healthy. Live Beautifully.
