I ordered my selections from my friends at The Choosy Chick. I was immediately impressed with the color and texture of these lovely lippies! The colors were vibrant and eye-catching, and they applied like (maybe even better than) my favorite lip balm!
I typically go for a softer eye look, and a bolder lip color on a daily basis, so I chose Survivor and Ruby Rose (they were out of Revenge, which is still a color I really want).
Survivor is a vibrant electric pink with more of a satin finish. Typically lipsticks with a satin finish will need to be reapplied after eating/drinking. This was true of this color. I loved that my lips were still stained from the original application, and I could've easily gotten away with only reapplying my favorite lip balm or lipgloss. This color is properly named as it radiates a sense of empowerment and confidence.
Ruby Rose is more of a matte finish, so of course it wears longer. It is a rich, raspberry red that transitions well for day or night wear. A great red for most skin tones, and long wearing from its matte finish. Again, my lips were stained for some time after first application, and I did not feel the need to reapply throughout the day--even after eating. Those who have jobs that require a lot of talking or you drink coffee/tea throughout the day, may need to reapply eventually.
